"Zadokeli” is an Ewe word, from the Volta Region of Ghana which means eclipse or literally “night and day”. Presented by Meraki Arts Africa Ltd., Zadokeli is a week-long journey into Ghanaian creativity, where art is not just displayed, but created in real time. For seven days and seven nights, from the 8th to 14th of December, the E.T.S Drama Studio of the University of Ghana Legon, transforms into a pulsating cultural landscape.
The festival revolves around the profound philosophical insights and contemplative musings associated with the moon. The interplay between existence and the moon constitutes a narrative intricately woven from scientific, mythological, and introspective strands. The moon serves as a potent emblem, reflecting our anxieties regarding time, nature, and the human condition. It significantly shapes our understanding and sense of purpose.
