A Slice of Istanbul in Accra: Inside Ghana’s Stunning National Mosque

Today, l want to tell you something about the Ghana National Mosque Complex. 

This mosque is Accra Furqan mosque also known as the National Mosque of Ghana. When you enter the mosque, it’s really beautiful and you will see the Ghana and Turkey flag everywhere because Turkey basically helped Ghana build this masjid and now it is the most beautiful mosque in the whole country.

Before you enter the mosque, you have to perform wudu to clean your body. When you come to the side of the masjid, there is a whole area set for wudu and it’s really cool that they have like an outdoor wudu area and then you enter in and you are like wow, mashallah man, this is so beautiful. 

Easily one of the most beautiful mosques in all of Africa. All you can say entering in here is Mashallah, straight up feels like you are in Istanbul in Turkey. This is one of the newer mosques as well only completed in the last four years and the inside of the  mosque can hold up to 15,000 people and there is a lot of prayer space outside as well, especially in the court yard. 

They have more than just a mosque here, they also have a bunch of meeting rooms and a high school complex. If you are coming by Ghana you definitely need stop by and check out this Masjid National Mosque of Ghana. What a beautiful masjid man!
