This October, the heart of Accra will pulse with the rhythms, aromas, and flavors of the continent as the Afro Gastro Festival 2025 takes over the Forecourt of the Parliament of Ghana for two unforgettable days of cultural and culinary immersion.
Set for Friday, October 17 (from 10:00 AM) and Saturday, October 18 (from 9:30 AM), the festival invites food lovers, cultural enthusiasts, and the simply curious to explore Africa’s rich heritage through the universal language of food.
Led by the passionate stewardship of Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, and her Deputy, Hon. Yussif Issaka Jajah, this event is more than a festival, it’s a cultural movement. Attendees will experience live cooking demos, indigenous dishes from across the continent, storytelling through food, and dynamic performances that connect tradition with creativity.
The festival follows the success of its July debut at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, expanding its vision of using gastronomy as a powerful tool for cultural preservation and pan-African connection.
Whether you’re craving the bold spices of West Africa, the slow-roasted meats of the South, or the aromatic stews of the East, the Afro Gastro Festival promises a sensory journey through the soul of Africa.
Admission is open to all. Come hungry for more than just food, come hungry for culture.
